Wow! What a week!

The Year 1 children have been super busy this week.

We had our wonderful visit to the preschools, on Wednesday, the fabulous school wide Maori Language Week assembly, on Thursday, and our Year 1 Wow celebration, today.

Thank you to all the whanau who were involved. You make it so special for the children.

As well as the above, the children in Room 13 invited the Room 16 children to join us for explore galore where we had a very exciting morning making hokey pokey.

This was the introduction to our Inquiry topic this term  - What makes things change?

Words that we discovered and discussed today were - 

dissolve, heat, mix, froth, foam, solid, liquid, boil, steam...

We will be doing lots of fun experiments, investigations and activities for this topic.
