Explore Galore - Encouraging Others

Year 1 children have been learning to be positive. As part of that this value we we learning to encourage others and use encouraging words when we work and play.

We heard
"Well done. You tried so hard."
"I like the way you did that!"
"You did it!"
"Good job."
"Good try. Try it again."

Take a look at the photos showing R13 children trying hard with some challenging activities.

Athletics Sports

What a wonderful day we had yesterday.
Yah! The weather held and everyone was happy.
There was a lot of encouraging and kind words.
Thanks to Hadass from Room 3 who took the action photos.

On Wednesday we did athletics. My favourite was the high jump because it was so high and when it was high... I did it! It was hard but exciting and I was confident. I was tired and ... I was proud of myself.

On Wednesday when we did athletics I liked the high jump. When we got up to five holes high, it was hard for me because I knocked the pole over.

The best athletics was the frisbee because I bet James. The hardest activity was the high jump because I knocked the pole over.

On Wednesday I did athletics. I did the frisbee. The frisbee was the most fun because when I threw the frisbee it went further than everybody else. It almost hit Daniel's mum and Daniel's mum had to duck.
