What a week!!!

This week we had a visit from Constable Ross who talked to us about Road Safety.
Some of the ideas we have about road safety
  • always wear a seatbelt in the car.
  • 'make the seat belt CLICK!'
  • sit in a booster seat until we are 7 years old.
  • sit quietly in the car so the driver isn't distracted.
  • get out of the car on the footpath side.
  • always cross the road with an adult. Hold their hand.
  • don't play behind parked cars.
Constable Ross took us out to the car park. Be careful - cars can be tricky here too!!!
We practised making the seatbelt 'click'. He even put his car lights on to show us.

Next week we will practise crossing sneaky driveways and safely crossing the road.
Thanks Constable Ross.

On Friday our Explore Galore session was related to 'asking for help'.

We can ask for help
"Can you help me?" Samantha
"Please could you help me?" Tommy
"Do you need some help?" James

Benjamin asked Tommy to help him take a lid off. Nice team work boys.

On Friday afternoon we met our buddy class.

They are Room 3 - Year 5/6.
We joined with them to do a Nature Hunt.
Our buddies looked after us, encouraged us, supported and helped us to search for a variety of natural items i.e. find an item which has a scent.

We look forward to spending more time with our wonderful, caring buddies.
Thanks Room 3.

Tabloid Sports

What a fun, sun filled afternoon we had at tabloids today.

The senior students created exciting and fun activities. We saw everyone participating and co-operating with enthusiasm.

A big thank you to those senior students who led the activities.
