Pete the Cat
Last week we read one of Mrs Hinman's favourite books.
Pete the cat is a cool cat. Look at the photos below to see what the amazing Room 13 children did with it.
We were learning to add adjectives to make our writing more interesting.
After reading the story we brainstormed some adjectives we could use when writing about Pete the Cat.
Pete stood in -
purple paint - Ashley
chopped lemons/ juicy chopped oranges/bright red juicy cherries - Daniel
red strawberry jelly - Rida
sticky pink bubblegum - Finn
dark blue blueberries - Lotte
shiny yellow paint - Zac
green juicy grapes - Connor
broken yellow yolks - Carise
squashed strawberries/ juicy red apples - Tommy
brown chocolate yoghurt - Sam
red strawberry yoghurt - Ben
We then wrote about the colours in Maori. You can read our Pete the Cat book in the class library shelf.
What clever clogs!
