Explore Galore
This week we were learning to keep trying in our playing and learning. This was linked to our 'pr' blend for the week.
Below are the items the children made using construction and dress ups relating to 'pr'.
Pretty Rida

Adi's proud, precise, pretend helicopter blades.

Present

Prince Matteo with his crown, sword and shield.

Rocking Prince Matteo

Pretty cool construction prince

Pretty as a princess

Prize trophy

Good job Room 13. There was a lot of trying again, changes and adaptions when constructing your 'pr' ideas.

Guess What?
It is so exciting...
Today Mrs Hinman found a present on the writing table.
We really wonder what is in it.
We wrote descriptions of what we think maybe inside the present.
Read some of our stories below.

Guess what?
It is so exciting... when Mrs Hinman got to school she found a present.
I wonder if it is pass the parcel?
The present has a red curly ribbon.
It might be some marshmallows.
It might be some chocolate.
I hope it is a pass the parcel because it is a fun game.

Guess what?
We found a present on the writing table. The present was grey with a red curly bow. The bow was around the wrapping paper. I think in the present there is a pack of fifty sweet watermelon flavoured lollipops.
Maybe the lollipops are for all the amazing Room 13 children.

The Mystery Present
Guess what?
It is so exciting... today we found a shiny silver present. I think in the medium sized present there's a red hot-wheel car with yellow flames on the side. It will have a remote controller. It will go so fast! I will feel happy. It will have a smile on the front.

We are all very excited. Now we need to open it...

Explore Galore
On Friday our focus for Explore Galore was being safe and looking after equipment.
We had so much fun using our new classroom PE equipment.
We shared with Room 14 and Room 16 too.
We mainly looked after the equipment but had a few whoopsies too. We have learned from these (hopefully).
Check out the photos.

Whoops - ball in the tree. We did get it down.

Another ball in the tree. Rescued!

Mrs Hinman's tailed balls both ended up on the roof.
Still there :(

Hoop rescued.
We love our new classroom PE equipment. Thank you Mrs Wylie for organising it. They are great at morning tea and lunch time.
It is good to seem the items being retuned and looked after. Well done R13.

'Gr'
This week we have focused on gl and gr for phonics.
We read the poem My Granny then we wrote descriptions about our grannies.
Please come and read these lovely descriptions. Here is an example of the writing.

My Nana
My Nana looks old because she has grey curly hair. It is soft too. She smells beautiful like red roses.
My nana wears bright orange slippers and she wears a bright blue dress and she has a huge grin. My nana walks around the block with me and Kiwi. She likes to bake with me and she teaches me how to knit. She reads books to me and I enjoy her reading books to me. She also gives me kisses and tight hugs.
